I am Kyle Adams, a licensed and insured arborist and a Tensas Parish native. At home with the birds and squirrels, I make my living in the trees. I have loved climbing trees since I was a kid and, as I got older, I realized I could turn this into a business with just a rope and harness around me and a chainsaw in hand. Starting out as an employee of another tree trimming service, I learned through hard work, experience and confidence, I could go into business for myself. I stepped out in faith to pursue this journey and became licensed and insured with my own company. That’s where I came up with the name of my business. Five successful years later, I don't have to climb to get the job done because I have purchased a bucket truck, dump trailer and tractor to build my business. I guess you could even call it a family business since my sister does all the office work and my dad and a close friend work with me too. I love being able to work together and be a part of helping the community I grew up in. We are Pookie and Brother Curry, residents of Lafayette, Louisiana and owners of a house and an adjacent lot on Lake Bruin in St. Joseph, Louisiana. Having a lake house and living in another city has its challenges and makes it necessary to have responsible and dependable people to count on when the need arises.
The recent ice storm in Tensas Parish presented such a need! We have several trees on both properties - pine, oak, pecan and cypress. One of the pine limbs dropped on our roof and went through the attic and ceiling of our living room. We were in Lafayette and, besides getting that situation tended to, decided right away that removing some of our trees was a must. Since Kyle Adams
previously cut down a few trees for us (and we were pleased with his work), we called him.
Responding quickly, Kyle removed the trees we requested. He called to say he wanted to wait a couple of days before cutting them up because it had been raining and he didn't want to mess up the property. Anyone who knows us can understand how pleased we were with that concern! When the weather permitted, he cut the trees up, had them hauled off, and had all the stumps ground out.
He sent pictures to us and we couldn't be happier with the results. He is knowledgeable about his trade, and performs accordingly. Besides getting the job done properly, he is polite and pleasant - traits we certainly appreciate.
